Safety officer & organizer marine events such as City of Water Day on Governors Island, the Liberty Challenge International Outrigger Canoe Races, and in-water parades & events. In particular, the Annual Great North River Tugboat Race & Competition has been produced by Doswell Productions under contract to the Working Harbor Committee for 4 years.

Maritime film & event consultant, including the films such as "Train Wreck - My Life as an Idoit Idiot", "Bitter Pill", numerous photo shoots, water based fireworks, in-water parades and more. Currently NY Harbor Port Captain for OpSail 2012, with 17 Tall Ships from all over the world, commemorating the war of 1812 and the writing of the Star Spangled Banner

In the late 1980s, Doswell Productions shifted into
software development, which grew out of
programming for shows, but eventually led to development of business software, including product demo software and order entry validation for complex products.







Finally, in the mid 1990's Doswell Productions changed its focus to the New York waterfront (always an interest of its principal, Capt. John Doswell).Currently, and for some time now, Doswell Productions (now Doswell Productions / PhotoShips) has been engaged in the following areas:
